Lan Lan Yoga RCYT – Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher Training – is an immersive 95-hour online program designed for anyone who loves working with children or teens. No prior yoga or teaching experience is needed to attend the program.

Our program stays true to the spirit of yoga, both in principles and practices. We also introduce a modern curriculum design & methodologies while also discussing better business practices to empower you in creating a successful business.

Upon completion of our program, you will be certified as a Yoga Educator with Lan Lan Yoga and eligible for Yoga Alliance’s RCYT certification.

How the program works

95 Hours Towards Your RCYT Certification

To become an RCYT with the Yoga Alliance, you must successfully complete both a 200-hour yoga teacher training program and a 95-hour children's yoga training—in either order—that are registered with Yoga Alliance. As a RCYS registered with the Yoga Alliance, our RCYT certificate program will provide you with the 95-hour training you will need toward this requirement.

Overview

Children are the future of the world. Half of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age, yet most cases go undetected and untreated. Children are particularly vulnerable to mental illness due to social pressures, discrimination, and socio-economic stressors. Yoga and social and emotional learning provides powerful tools for children to cope with uncertainties in life with power.

Our teacher training lays a strong foundation in the understanding the Child psychology in the growing years, how to bridge gap between the parents and their children, understanding bodily and emotions changes, acceptance, challenges, mind management, asana, pranayama and meditation for children. This course empowers the teachers with some unique fun-to-learn teaching methodologies.

This program will cover:

Child-friendly Asana (yoga poses, partner poses, group poses), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Meditation (including meditation and deep relaxation) . Incorporating music, art, and stories into yoga classes. We are offering digital version of all the art work we designed in Lan Lan Yoga to empower you in your teaching and class management.

Communication: How to communicate with children to empower them in their body and mind. How to cultivate love, trust, teamwork, leadership, full-blown self-expression and a sense of peace through games and leading the discussions with children.

Child Psychology, Mind and Emotions and Psycho-physical development of a child

Modern curriculum design theory : Design session plans with purposes and intentions, plan and execute. How to track children’s development with data in this new era. Relation building with Parents – Proper communication Understanding challenges that children face – Peer Pressure, School, Friends, Family etc.

Course Completion Requirements

Coursework for RCYT Certification

To receive your RCYT certificate, you will be required to complete the following by June 30th, 2020:

Videos: Watch all videos in course modules.

Weekly Meet-Ups: Attend all live weekly meet-ups, or watch the recorded weekly meet-ups and submit the corresponding meet-up assignment for instructor feedback.

Final Teaching Project: Complete the final teaching project.

PROGRAM PAYMENT

Tuition: $1500 USD; Rolling Enrollment. Early Bird Price: $1200 USD, must be made in full by May 20th, 2020.
